Hey Alums! Are you ready for a special day of friendship, activity, and memories Only At? Then get excited, because it’s almost time for the very first Camp Monroe Alumni Association Sunday Funday! It will officially happen on September 7, 2014, three weeks from today, and we hope to see you all there. (We know that Sunday Funday was originally scheduled for August 24, and we apologize for pushing it back again.) Whether you were at camp last summer or haven’t been to Monroe since the 1970s, Sunday Funday will be an amazing opportunity to reconnect with the place we all know as Happyland. Here’s the schedule: 10-10:30 - Arrival 10:30-12:30 - Activity areas open. Play basketball, softball, tennis, and more. Go boating on the lake. Shoot arrows at archery with David Krieger. Make a project at arts & crafts with Louise Silver. Watch old camp videos in our media room. 1-1:45 - Delicious barbecue lunch 2-3:15 - Mini Special Event Day 3:15-4 - Goodbyes and departure Sunday Funday is for Camp Monroe alums age 21 and up, plus your spouses. Unfortunately, no children will be allowed to attend this first alumni day up at camp, although we hope to have family events in the future. Sunday Funday will cost $50 per person, and we need at least 100 committed attendees for the day to go forward as planned.
