Hey, America, quit supporting corruption. The U.S. Government is creating enemies. Its not the American people, but the government. Quit causing us problems, U.S. Government. (I like the part when she says, Barrack Obama and then spits on the ground.) Thai-US relations There is a growing perception in Thailand that the United States is taking sides with the corrupt Thaksin regime. The evidence is clear and too copious to ignore. For instance, the United States allowed Thaksin to make a high profile visit to the United States even though he is a convicted criminal on the run. Photographs of his sister Yingluck, the current Prime Minister, veritably fawning over Obama were noticed and widely ridiculed. There is other anecdotal evidence too copious to ignore, including the recent statement from the US Embassy here. For people not tracking Thai politics, that statement supporting democracy may have seemed benign and neutral, which begs the question: Why say it at all? But for those tracking the ground realities, that statement was a loaded gun pointed at Thai people who are tired of corruption. The statement from the United States was clear: We support Thai corruption that benefits us. Sadly, the lady in this video is telling the truth. It pains me to write this as an American. Audio from this video was being played over loudspeakers past midnight last night. It has gone viral.
