Hey #Bellaire Buddies! Starting Monday, October 6, 2014, westbound traffic on Bellaire Blvd. from Beltway 8 to Harbor Town Dr. will be moved to the recently completed concrete pavement in order for work to start constructing the esplanades. The traffic switch, which will occur AFTER the morning rush hour, will move two (2) westbound traffic lanes to the newly constructed pavement on the north side of Bellaire Blvd. After the traffic switch, there will be two (2) lanes going eastbound on the south side of Bellaire Blvd. and two (2) lanes going westbound on the north side of Bellaire Blvd. The switch is to be completed by noon. Residents and businesses in the area may see some associated activity over the weekend. This is designed to assist motorists with the transition. Orange barrels will be placed along the construction route to prohibit motorists from making left-hand turns. During the median construction period, all left-hand turns to affected side-streets will be prohibited; including but not limited to Corporate Dr., Ranchester Dr., Gessner Rd., Mary Bates Blvd. and Harbor Town Dr.
