Hey Class of 2003!! Can you believe its been a whole year sine our 10 year reunion last year?!?! Time flies...with that being said I wanted to touch base with everyone and give you all an update: At our reunion cocktail we held a fundraiser in honor/remembrance of our brothers Mike McGoyne and Charles Wells. In one evening we were able to raise $422.00!! A portion of those funds were used for the dedication of a brick in remembrance of Mike and Charles from our class at the Friendship Garden at the Dearden Alumni Campus at MHS!! For those of you going to Homecoming this weekend I encourage you to stop by the Friendship Garden and find the brick (Im told all the new bricks were installed this week). The remainder of the funds from the fundraiser were given as a donation in the amount of $307.00 to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (the charity selected by Charles family at the time of his passing) in memory of Charles! During this time of so many milts going home let us not forget our brothers who are no longer with us and allowed that chance. I am in the process of sending cards to the families of Mike and Charles telling them about our classes efforts to remember and celebrate their lives and our dedication brick in the Friendship Garnden, if anyone has contact info for either of their families please let me know.
