Hey Cousinship, I just attended the family viewing of our cousin Cyndis funeral and guys we got to continue to pray for those that dont know or havent experienced what God can do and work in a persons life. Tonight, Dave (Cyndis husband) came up to share about Cyndi. I was expecting sadness, anger and lots of emotions of loss and pain but God is really alive and working. Dave shared that he is at peace, peace knowing where Cyndi is. Peace that there is a reason for what happened. He said he misses her a lot but theres happiness that theyll meet again. Hes happy that she isnt suffering here, but in a better place. He shared about God prompting him to visit Cyndis Grandma (Ba Co 3), and how shes stronger to be able to attend this evenings events. Guys, I usually dont share a lot, I joke around more than being serious but I want to share with you how tonight was quite powerful for me. Ive never been to a funeral were I left feeling comforted and even lifted and encouraged, all this from someone who lost their wife and best friend. Dave had peace and comfort in his face and the confidence in God that he knew what was best for Dave and his family. Pray that out of this tragic event we soften our hearts to hear his whispers because its harder for us when we cry out to Him in pain. Pray for Dave and the kids. Pray that the kids can can continue to feel more safe. Pray for us and our unsaved love ones. Pray for those who are seeking Him. Guys this is our time to show how God really does care even in times of hurt and loss. Ruth
