Hey Curvy Girls members, parents and volunteers! A reminder to please fill out the CHEO Healthy Kids Awards survey. If you think Curvy Girls is an important part of this community and has helped many people, then take 3 to 5 minutes to fill out the nomination form. Reason for nomination: Reason for nomination: (here is an example ) By supporting teens and promoting early detection the Curvy Girls Scoliosis Support Group of Ottawa fills a gap in our health care system. Approaches and treatments for scoliosis are many. Talking through them alleviates decision making for families. It is an invaluable support that minimizes the physical, emotional burden for pre-teens and teens and their families. Building the self-confidence and promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual growth in young girls is so important. The joy and connectedness between youth in the group is profound. Building strength at this age and under the strain of physical challenges makes for resilience when facing challenges later in life.
