Hey Everybody! Its Shane here. Im reading a book by John MacArthur - TopicsExpress

Hey Everybody! Its Shane here. Im reading a book by John MacArthur called Worship: The Ultimate Priority (thanks for the loan Shannon), and today while I was reading in a chapter called Saved to Worship, I came across this: The foundation upon which true worship is based is redemption. And this: The Father sent Christ to seek and save, for the specific purpose of producing worshiping people. In other words, the primary reason we are redeemed is not so that we may escape hell - that is a blessed benefit, but not the major purpose. The central objective for which we are redeemed is not even so that we might enjoy the manifold eternal blessings of God. In fact, the supreme motive in our redemption is not for us to receive anything. Rather we have been redeemed so that God may receive worship - so that our lives might glorifying Him. I know this is a lot to chew on, but I think its good stuff, and really helps in order to have the right priority going throughout each day. With all that in mind, here are some questions for each of us to think about: Am I redeemed? Am I aware of what that really means? Am I worshiping God in all I do? Am I glorifying God in all I do? Thats it for now. Love you lots. See you Sunday. Looking forward to worshiping with all of you!!!
