Hey Everyone, I know that I have a ton of friends here on my FB who are so generous and kind and I am just wondering who might be able to help me spearhead a fundraiser here in Vancouver. I have a FB friend who recently DMd me and is in need of some desperate help. The woman is pregnant with a little girl and has just found out that the fetus she is carrying has been diagnosed in utero as having Hypoplastic left heart syndrome. It was during a routine ultrasound exam that doctors told her she has one of 3 choices: Abort the baby, let her be born and more than likely she would die very shortly thereafter, OR let her undergo heart surgery immediately following the birth. The family decided to give the child a fighting chance and has decided on option 3! She and her family live in Chilliwack BC and will have to spend months in Vancouver at Childrens Hospital and will have to have their other children looked after by their grandparents while they are in Vancouver. They are not a well to do family and very much need assistance in covering their rent, bills at home, food for their children etc who will be back in Chilliwack. Although while in Vancouver, the hospital will cover their lodging, they are not given monies for food etc while spending the time here. They have a long hard road ahead of them and I would love more than anything to put together a fund raiser for them asap as the July 30th due date is fast approaching. If anyone has suggestions or would like to donate toward this cause and/or anyone out there who has a restaurant who would donate food to them, it would be beyond appreciated. I would be prepared to sing at the event and auction off yoga wear and any of my beauty line etc for the cause... Please let me know if anyone out there can be of any help for these lovely people and lets see if we cant help this family start off with as much love and help as possible!
