Hey Everyone, I wanted to let you guys know that with the update CalEdit today, I am forking my source tree to being moving towards the 2.0 interface. The current 1.32.xx source will only be maintained for fixes, no major updates. The next version release will be 1.4x.xx or possibly 1.5x.xx. The difference between the two are that 1.4x.xx will eliminate the Functions/Scalars/Tables tabs and be replaced with a single Parameter Editing tab (1st screen shot below). The 1.5x.xx version will have the interface changes and the elimination of the BDE with CalEdit, however, CalCon will still be using the BDE. Though, it is possible that I might get them both free of the BDE by then, just depends on how much time I get to focus on the software development. Additional features will be blended in from that point, until finally switching to the 2.0 source tree completely. The 2.0 specs are still somewhat fluid right now as I am still trying to determine how to handle a couple of things. I have not touched the 2.0 source in about a year, so it has some holes currently, but I will get the specs finalized in 2015. CalEdit 2.0 will combine CalCon into CalEdit and will be a single application. I am also looking at doing a Linux version, having a skeleton version already developed with Lazarus. It will likely be 64bit ONLY. Also, very likely will do a logging app for Android, as I am tired of lugging my laptop with me too!
