Hey Falcons, 07 generation. Havent graduated per se, as I carried - TopicsExpress

Hey Falcons, 07 generation. Havent graduated per se, as I carried out my junior and senior years in France, but I still remember everyone! (Julien is my actual first name, for those who may be confused). Special shout out to Mrs Voigt for creating this group and for having tutored me through the Birmingham district oratorical contest, which I won thanks to her (district-wise). I am currently enrolled in a PhD program in particle astrophysics at the Atomic Energy & Alternative Energies Commission. Ive validated a MS in Astrophysics & Space Engineering at the Paris Observatory, a BS in Fundamental Physics and a BS in Energetics Engineering. Ive had the opportunity to travel to several countries along the way, usually for internships in research facilities and institutes, which have all been thrilling and insightful. I will mostly be jumping back and forth in-between England, Germany, France and the University of California in Berkeley (mainly for workshops) during the upcoming 3 years. I hope to carry out my post-doctoral studies in the USA as it has remained my home country of heart all throughout the years. Groves HS has sparked my childhood dream of doing fundamental research in the astrophysics field, and even though the path I chose was far from a straight one, I am creeping ever closer to that achievement! Its encouraging to witness so many Groves alumni making their dreams come true and being successful, and I would like to thank Mrs Marentette and Mr Webster for inspiring me along the way... Also, Im surprised Ive kept up my violin practice ever since I left the orchestra. (poke Mr Shawver). I really enjoy playing irish folk music these days (jigs, reels and polkas) and have had the opportunity to play in several pubs in the Irish countryside. Quite an interesting experience... At least I could wear the Groves colors over there and mix into the lot ! GO FALCONS
