Hey Family & Friends, Jered David has had a pretty good day. His blood oxygen has been pretty steady. Two days ago the doctor decided to pull out Jereds breathing tube and try to transition him to breathing more on his own. Well, Jered tried so hard, but it was too tough for him this time, his levels werent good, so, they put the breathing tube back in. Since being put back on the breathing tube, he has handled it pretty well, but, he is showing some cloudiness on his chest x-ray, so they are giving him some lung treatments again to help his lungs to develop and the air sacs in the lungs to stay open. Jereds lungs continue to be the most critical factor, pray that The Lord would continue to form and heal his lungs. Jereds heart has been doing better, no more SVT episodes since starting the medication, thank God. In other news, this morning, Jereds PICC line needed to be taken out again because it was leaking. This was his main line for his nutrition fluids. So, they have a temporary IV in him, and the plan is to fast-track his milk feeding increases in the next couple days to be able to get him all his nutrition from Mommys milk only. That would be wonderful if he can handle it, Lord willing. With all the challenges, The Lord is showing Isabel and I that He really is taking care of our little man, and we gotta give thanks, hold fast, and hope in our Lord. God has miraculously given him 33 days of life, he still has no brain bleed, hes feeding on Moms milk, he is gaining weight and getting bigger and stronger every day. He is 2 lbs 8 oz today. His Mommy has been able to hold him. :) I should get my chance soon. :) Weve been able to kiss his head, change his diaper, look him in the eyes (his eyes are open now!), read to him, and sing to him. We are truly blessed. Lets keep praying. We love you guys.
