We want to make sure all candidates for local office know that climate change and sustainability issues are important to New Yorkers. We will also be asking Staten Island residents to urge Rep. Michael Grimm to acknowledge that climate change is a problem. Please bring your charged cell phones. Wednesday, October 16, 6:30-8pm Forum on Sustainability, Jewish Community Center, 1466 Manor Rd Staten Island Join fellow OFA-NYC Climate Team members and attend the New York League of Conservation Voters Candidate Sustainability Forum. Many Staten Islanders are interested in engaging the public about climate change, and this is a great opportunity to meet those who want action on climate! We will also use the opportunity to make sure more people know that Rep. Micheal Grimm still wont acknowledge the reality of climate change. Despite the overwhelming scientific consensus that climate change is real and is caused by humans, Representative Grimm says the jury is obviously still out on the subject.
