Hey Folks, As we wrap up mixing the new Walking Papers album (shes almost done!) Im very pleased to present another project that I have been supporting, a new album from delta blues legend CeDell Davis. I made a record with CeDell back in 2002 and he wanted to make another one, a lucky 13 years later. Rock & Roll is built upon the Delta Blues, and since CeDell is now 88 years old, we decided to make this new album down in his Mississippi stomping grounds. The band is Jimbo Mathus on guitar, Stu Cole on bass, Greg and Zakk Binns on guitars, and myself on drums. It comes out on my label on February 24th worldwide, and here is the first story on CeDell in the Los Angeles Times. In showing our support of CeDell and his original Delta Blues, Jeff Angell and I will be playing in CeDells back up band for some shows this spring in the South, the West Coast, and Europe.
