Just came back from my sons endo appt and feeling a bit, I dont know, berated? Doc was not happy with his A1C (8.6. But down from 9.1 last time. We have him back with us now and working hard on it. When hes with his dad his diabetes management is totally ignored. But, thats another story) Anyways, I said I would be brief. LOL. Do you all keep a food/Bg journal? He really wants us to keep one. Anyone have a preteen who is resistant to said journaling? How did you motivate them? How do you keep yourself motivated to journal? Also, we are getting on a CGM soon and hoping that will help us figure out what the heck is going on with his sugars. My son is still resistant to the pump, so baby steps. Doc said, You have been at this for awhile now. So, you should know this. (When talking about adjusting his basal insulin at home instead of waiting for him to adjust. Its been 1 1/2 yrs since his diagnosis! Were supposed to be experts??!!) Thanks for listening to my rant. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a great day!!! :D
