Hey Guys! Hope that youre all enjoying a Happy 4th of July! I wanted to make a quick post before I forgot, since some Freshmen, and a few Upperclassmen as well, were asking around about what needs to be memorized before Bamd Camp, and what we should know before Pre-Band Camp. For anyone asking, you should be trying to memorize Pre-Game, First Show, and two Stands Tunes! First Show is going to be EXTREMELY important for Pre-Band Camp, which is from July 22-24 this year. (Yes, its mandatory, you already know that, but JUST in case! :P) Pre-Game includes: 1) On Wisconsin (Fight Song) 2) The Alma Mater 3) The Star Spangled Banner 4) Salute to America (27 to End) 5) The Hey Song 6) War Chant First Show consists of: 1) Pompeii 2) Timber 3) Love Me Again Stands Tunes are: 1) My Songs Know What... 2) Seven Nation Army 3) Applause 4) Stacys Mom* (Pending) 5) Brick House* (Pending) First Show should hopefully come to you all easily, and we will do A LOT of work in those three days, so be prepared. Weve played all of Pre-Game, too, so hopefully it comes easily as well. In Stands Tunes, you probably shouldnt try to learn the songs that have * (Pending) by them. If we havent played them in Band yet, dont try to memorize them. If you learn it the wrong way, itll be a pita to re-learn. (Trust me from experience!) I recommend learning either Applause, Seven Nation, or My Songs. I hope that this helps you guys! Enjoy the break, but make sure you pick up AND PLAY your instruments a few times a week. Dont let your Marching go down the drains either. (We WILL be expected to know what were doing when we come back from this break, and Llew may not be so lenient on mistakes.)
