Hey Gym Station family and friends! We have another exciting week in all of our programs. In Flippers this week, we are going to become NINJAS! We will start off by crossing the river with our sneaky Ninja feet. Then we aare going to walk over the balance beam, chopping the cones and saying a nice loud HI-YAH at each cone. On the Popcorn Mat, there will be dots set out at each spot and we will practice a kick over each dot and also say our best karate sound. The final piece of our gymnastics workout will be the wedge, where we can practice rolling down like a Ninja or jump off and do a nice loud Karate Chop! In Dance Adventures this week, we are still HARD at work on our recital dances. This week we are still putting together our hip hop dance moves. In Sports Adventures this week, we are going to be playing Tennis. We will begin class with our Hula Hoop agility drill. Everyone will have 5 seconds to run around the hoop as many times as they can in one direction and then stop and then have 5 more seconds to run around the opposite direction. Our Racket Control drill will be using the racket to hit the bean bag up as many times as possible, making sure we focus on keeping the bean bag on the face of the racket. Our Hitting drill of the week is hitting with the big ball. This helps out our hand eye coordination and is easier to see than a smaller tennis ball.
