“Hey I Know You” is a weird name for a Race so is Macungie. In the late 1970’s I worked as mostly a Delivery Driver in then very rural very Pa Dutch Macungie. When the directions said turn left where the Fencetamakers barn uses to be, I understood. Debbie’s Market Downtown was run by a Man named Debbie. He was born a Man and Died a Man with a very acceptable Pa Dutch mans first name. What interested me about this race it fell within the Racer’s requirements, and Macungie is a place I can almost call home. I am working on my editing abilities along with a hundred other things. Macungie Park in a few weeks one of the largest Antique Car Shows in the Country will be held in Macungie Park. Dirt Roads hard turns and grass can cause “Tense Situations” in the Racer. However just like heat I thrive on “Tense Situations” The Railroad cut was one place I could use my downhilling abilities. Beware of Runners lateral moves. All 5k’s have 180’s, another thing my Racer doesn’t like to do. Back through the Railroad cut with a train overhead.
