Hey! I bet you wont waste your time by reading this, there are great insights from great minds below. Just read all to enjoy. I received a news link about few days ago, which prompted me to select some great growing leaders randomly to give answers to .**Smiles** Here is the question- How Can A School by The Students Uphold its Integrity Within and outside the campus ? Its so unfortunate that highly intelligent students from such a prestigious school are unable to redirect and position their God given ability in a positive and more valuable way. To restructure the above question- How can a school help the students to uphold the integrity of the school and themselves, both within and outside the campus ? Here is the link to the news- edificationinfo/police-nab-first-class-honours-graduate-over-internet-fraud/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter But my greatest fear is if religion can solve this issue. Most of this students were assuredly were once a member of a fellowship or any other religious groups; perhaps some might have held one position or the other while in their various worship centers respectively. Below are the responses. Despite their busy schedules, they took their time to respond back. Enjoy! 1st Answer from: Mr Obagidi Victor A compere» Presenter» Writer» Public speaker» Pro manager also a pharmacy undergraduate at Uniben. Well, as far as am concerned, no institution can guarantee a 100% impact on their students no matter how hard they try. This is not a way of saying they are not concerned but a clarified way of letting all know that both institutions and the students are involved in this case. A university will do well in teaching their students the required lessons that can help them uphold a good legacy in all spheres of life. The university is referred to as the initiator of the process simply due to the fact that they are known as the citadel of learning and you cant practise what you havent learnt. However, I think the most of the problem comes from the students themselves as we all know that it is a different thing to teach and a different thing to learn. This is where most of our university and other tertiary school of learning gets it wrong. University they say makes up just 15% of your life but the remaining 75% is yourself. This is why most of the blames are still on the students. One can learn morals but practising moral is dependent on the person involved. Therefore, the university will do well by introducing personal development into the curriculum in order to bring the awareness to students. The students will also compliment this by understanding the need to embrace development and understanding the importance of potentials and its exploration. In order words, the youths need to become real LEADERS Response 2: Akinsanya Enitan, A young nursing undergraduate at North American University, responded by saying: Its sad seriously, there should be a moral standard that should guide this students through, not just only the academics part, so when they go out they wouldnt mess up. Response3: This is from a young man often regarded as Africas foremost entrepreneur, a public speaker and also a graduate from FUTA. He gave a short response by saying- You will always have bad eggs, even in Havard. Response 4: From The National Coordinator of Leadership connect, a sub-part of Fela Durotoyes group named Gemstone. He liked to be simply called Mr Dayo Nigeria also said: Well, the only answer I have to give is that whatever we do or become in life is solely our responsibility. Waiting for a school to help students with maximizing their potentials may never happen because most schools are run by people who dont know anything apart from academics. No man can blame a system for his actions or in-actions, we are solely in charge of our decisions. However, we can help by organizing programmes that will help them focus more on producing things from what they have on their inside, than what they can get on the outwards. Response 5: Pastor Sam Neye, a teacher, public speaker, leadership expert and a graduate of FUTA, also stated that: Im really amazed at the story. Well... Theres no excuse for the action. In life our choices makes us. We must continually make the right choices... Im just amazed at the rate of decadence of our nation & of the youths. Response 6: Mr ERABOR EHIOJE HENRY, a computer science graduate of FUTA, said: I think on a platonic neutral view, it can be done by encouraging religious activities. From the spiritual view you could tap into the structure of Godly private universities like RUN, Covenant and the likes. Me(Babawale Peter): Okay, but some still misbehave though. (A returned question) Mr Henry: Remember that the presence of the church in Nigeria alone cannot change the whole of Nigeria, but God only can do this! The word of God just pricks our heart and then we are left with the option of repenting or not! And remember that when God saw what was in the heart of men, he knew dat man was indeed a complex being! Response 7: Mr Iyanda Ayo, often known as Ai bruce. The PPM — Projects & Programmes Manager of the KIST group, a leadership group on FUTA campus. Presently studying Statistics at FUTA. He located the problem has been from the foundation. He furthered by saying: So you dont expect any institution or religion to have any good done. Me(Babawale Peter):Okay. Thanks. So were is the foundation. Mr Iyanda Ayo: Creche, Nursery & Primary school, Junior & Secondary school. Response 8: Mr Lawal david, a writer, public speaker, and an undergraduate of FUTA. He is often regarded as J.C.M(John C. Maxwell) of our time. He is currently the president of the KIST group and also the founder of Young Leaders equip. He said: I fall back to my personal development equation. 20% from others + 80% from you = Success. The school can only do a little, and Im sure the management isnt failing at that. 80% of the game is up to the student. Thanks for reading. Do have your say, what other suggestion do you have? (Voice Out!) Thanks. **Thumbs up**
