Hey I just got a call from a man (with a foreign accent) saying I won $5,000.00 and Mercedes Benz from Publishers Clearing House. He asked a bunch of questions of which I had a hard time answering. I did not give him personal information of course. Then asked if I could go to a Western Union store and get a receipt. I said what? I said what would I need that for, he said I needed it to claim my prize. I said well I dont have money and I dont have a car, now take me off the list, he then quickly hung up without a word or protest. I looked up Publisher Clearing House scams and sure enough there is one just like the call I received. For one thing, Publisher Clearing House comes to the door without your knowledge and never notify winners but just show up. And we should be able to recognize these people because they are always on those commercials! So dont be fooled people. I am always on guard for these scammers. I hope you will be too! DONT BE FOOLED!!
