Hey! I just hired someone to build my boys a tree fort with a zip line for Christmas. The guy is going to build the fort and hang the zip line but I need to buy the stuff for the zip line. Does anyone have experience with this? Should I buy one of these kits or get the parts separately. It will be about 170ft long. We are planning to hook it to two trees. The bottom of the fort will be about 8ft in the air and the zip line will be hooked to the tree about three feet above the platform. The land has some slope in elevation so im thinking the top of the zip line will probably be about 15 feet higher than the landing spot. Any tips on what to buy or how to get cable really tight? He is going to install it and hes excellent at building things so Im sure hell figure it out but I want to make sure we have everything hell need on hand. Hes done two other zip lines before and tons of tree houses but the zip lines were just projects he helped friends do so Im not sure he is going to know everything we need to order. Also, do I need a harness or just a trolly and seat?
