Hey I just wrote this the other night, its like poetry/storytelling/creative-writing/. I received positive feedback, so I decided to post it. Let me know what you think. Constructive criticism is welcome. “Take Us There” So I wanna write something far out, as they say But I wanna say it with another phrase So my pen keeps moving Until the right words come through my instrument to be played./ So with a wicker basket, a hemp bag And a boot box full of talking bugs That I stole from the zoo I galloped to Kalamazoo To take a course with professor Seuss./ When I got to the classroom The lights were on the floor and the desk on the roof The walls were windows And windows were walls The door had a ladder If you were on time or late, it wasnt the latter It just didnt matter./ Language was painting So we spoke in colors And brushed our words This way of school was a lot better Class was outside So through the windows we saw four corners And my favorite subject was the weather./ The ground was The Most High And the sky was under our feet It rained so much food No one needed any meat. There were two suns and two moons in Kalamazoo So if you wanted night or day It was up to you to choose./ Villagers actually lived and knew they had nothing to lose And the only gains came in the shape of lessons I bought a pair of digital shoes They calculated my steps And figured out my next moves My shoes understood my actions are like dominoes And falling down isnt negative But there is an effect./ So every Earthrise and Earthset We gave thanks for being alive And the only law was When you cross that Kalamazoo line You have to go home And share what you saw on the other side./
