Hey, I like this guys video which seems surreal in places. Much respect for this elder gentleman for braving the Savage Gulf. The Savage Gulf aint easy or for the faint of heart but the rewards for endurance are unfathomable. Its one of my favorite grounds for exploration. It is wild and rugged. I have some vacation days days coming up in early November and I hope to spend them in the Laurel Snow Pocket Wilderness near Dayton, TN. Truly a beautiful area but a bridge along the trail is disabled due to a tree falling on it. The difficulty of the creek crossing depends on the water levels so I hope to be bypass the bridge. If not, my alternative plan is to drive to the Fiery Gizzard and camp there (part of the South Cumberland State Pak which includes the Savage Gulf) . I have some new gear to try out and I am looking forward to that. Hopefully the Fall foliage will be brilliant and I will get some good shots. My work requires me to work seven days this week and the next few weekends look little different so I am greatly looking forward to a respite and be able to get out there in the wild.
