Hey, I loved the drive thru taco joints, not because they were great but because you can just pull up and get a taco! I love tacos!!! But what I love more is homemade tacos! Brings back childhood memories when daddy made us his version of in house chi chis. we rarely got to go out because 2 + 4 kids + elderly grandfather = you were definitely dropping $20s that night! And with only one parental income my parents were selective! Thats were some of my homemade ingenuity comes from, you really can make almost anything at home and actually enjoy your experience more! And save the $ for another area! Plus you can invite people over and spend time together and not have someone trying to turn your table. Dont get me wrong there are a few restaurants locally (2) that are not chains we adore and their wait staff and owners are incredible, but I cant tell you how many times a $15 -$35 dining out experience over the last year has left us aggravated with what old frozen junk the throw in a bag and shove out a window or what unidentifiable burnt goo is oozing off our plate. Tea so nasty from them not sanitizing their tea earns at the end of each nite. GROSSING myself out remembering. Anyway lunch took 6 minutes to throw together. 5 of it was waiting on the microwave to reheat the taco mix. I sprinkled frozen shredded cheese over the top as I came to table. It was melted on top before I arrived at table. No over using cheese :) I made 8 bags this size on the 2nd hands free in my slow cooker. Bagged & labeled. Win win!
