Hey, I was wondering if anyone might be interested in this: Im looking for a Matte Painter and Compositor to perform some Matte Painting/Set-Extension on the opening shot of a post-apocalyptic short film I have recently written/directed, titled Hold. Unfortunately, this is a film I have produced out of my own pocket (which isnt very big) and with whatever help and favours I could get, so I wouldnt be able to pay you for your work on this. I really do not mean any disrespect to your craft by asking to do unpaid work, but had to ask in case some you are up for it. However, what I can offer, and I know its not much, are credits (I can pretty much guarantee an IMDb credit.) I also intend to submit the film to festivals, so it could be a great opportunity for exposure and to get your work seen. Now I know this is something that often gets offered in vain, but I hope that the festival-run and coverage of my previous film Fifty Pence can convince you of how serious I am about my projects: EricKolelas/fifty-pence It would also be an opportunity to add more content to your reels, if that is something that you are after. Now back to Hold: I would only need you to work on the opening shot. Its a wide shot, the area in the foreground is where the film takes place, but as we look further back, the rest looks a bit too normal, and ideally would like something much more representative of a post-apocalyptic world. Heres a link to a .pdf document containing the premise of the film, some stills, a jpeg of the shot to be worked on, and ideas I had in mind in terms of the direction to follow (please bare I am pretty open to ideas as long as it works with the rest of the film) https://dl.dropboxusercontent/u/5672438/2-hold/VFX/VFX_Concept_Board.pdf I hope it will give you a good idea of the film, and where Im trying to go with it. If you are interested, drop me an e-mail with links to reels or previous works, as theyre the best way for me to assess if you are right for the project. Thanks Eric EricKolelas eric_kolelas@outlook
