Hey Inside Africa fans! This week, Soni Methu takes Inside Africa to Lake Kivu in Rwanda, one of the largest lakes on the African continent. For the people who live near Lake Kivu, it’s an important resource for food, and most recently, a source of energy. The lake has more methane gas than any other in the world. Soni explores how one company is turning this natural resource into a much needed power supply. Soni also takes a boat ride with a group of local fisherman and learns how to use traditional methods of hauling in the catch of the day. She finishes her journey at one of Lake Kivu’s beautiful beaches and shows how it’s boosting tourism in Rwanda. Heres a sneak peek!
