Hey Kit, sorry I won’t be there to say goodbye on Monday, my own health is too crap these days, but I shall be with you in spirit. My god girl, you were a one-off original never to be repeated. The memories have been pilling in thick and fast, we certainly had some good times. Working at Red Tape, dancing at Cuba and the Limit, clubbing in Nottingham and stopping for breakfast at the motorway services on the M1, DJ-ing at the Leadmill on a Friday night when almost every request was “Do you have any Cure?”, going to gigs of every size and quality, a couple of festivals, driving to Monsal Head to see what you called the “beautiful view”, getting soaked to the skin dodging high waves on the quayside at Scarborough one Christmas Eve. I dug out some old pix, of course so old they aren’t digital so the quality is definitely iffy. There’s you in the control room at Red Tape, one with the fantastic card the boys at Designer’s Republic made for you, and a rare pic of you wearing glasses. You were about the most loyal, stubborn and courageous person I have ever known. You left no life you came in contact with untouched; you were extraordinary and I miss you more than words can say.
