Hey Morris Northstar, If youre going to conduct a study and publish it, there are some things you need to know. Before I begin, Id like to state that I am no research expert, and the fact that I am pointing out your errors speaks volumes about the quality of your study First, you need to explain your method. This is completely absent in your article. How did you come to the conclusion that racists would naturally reside in the administration and humanities? How did you decide those six faculty were the main culprits? You cannot just pick something out of the air and call it legitimate. Explain your reasons, processes, methods for arriving at your conclusions. Second, FINISH THE STUDY before you publish it. At the end of the article your acknowledge the fact your study is unfinished and you will report back with your results. After name-dropping six faculty and explaining how they are racist without any (good) rhetoric and stating your study is unfinished could and should be considered libel. And finally, thoroughly proofread your article. My complaint has nothing to do with the subject of the study. Racism is a real problem that needs to be addressed even on this campus. Im just concerned about the lack of quality in your research. And because you are making defamatory accusations about named individuals, your publication needs to be throughly examined. If any of my peers who know specifics about conducting and publishing a study, please add to the conversation.
