Hey Ms. Gloria Steinem, those are the exact reasons I would never vote for Quinn! Friend, I’m a Midwesterner, and I believe that the Midwest leads the nation. Thats why Im doing everything I can to help Governor Quinn win this race. Anti-equality forces haven’t been able to get everything they want in Washington, so the fight against women’s economic and reproductive rights has shifted to the states. At a time when women’s rights are still so clearly under attack, we need more leaders who aren’t afraid to do what’s right. It’s doubly important that you and I support state champions like Governor Quinn. Will you join me by donating $5 or more before Tuesday’s big deadline? Governor Quinn strengthened the Illinois Equal Pay Act to make it one of the strongest in the nation. He successfully fought for a law to end discrimination against pregnant women in the workplace. He implemented the Affordable Care Act to give more women access to quality health care, and he fought to protect funding for Planned Parenthood. Governor Quinn is 100% pro-choice -- and he signed the birth control ballot referendum to fight back against the Supreme Courts very anti-woman decision in the Hobby Lobby case. Now, he’s helping lead the charge to raise the minimum wage in Illinois -- which would have a huge impact on working women throughout Illinois, and be the best economic stimulus any state could have. The list goes on and on, but this is the crucial message: Governor Quinn is the kind of pro-equality leader this country needs. Help keep one of our few true state champions for women in office. Donate to Governor Quinns campaign right now: https://quinnforillinois/champion I thank you -- and the future will thank you, Gloria P.S. Vote -- and invite your friends to vote, too! Contributions are not tax deductible. State law requires that the occupation and name of the employer be reported for any individual who contributes over $500. Taxpayers for Quinn does not accept contributions from State employees. In addition, the Illinois Procurement Code prohibits certain businesses and their affiliates that have contracts, bids, and proposals with state agencies from making political contributions to state office holders responsible for awarding the contract. For more information about this campaign contribution limitation, please consult the State Board of Elections website. Paid for by Taxpayers for Quinn.
