Hey Playa Friends, I wanted to share the results of our beach clean up with you all: As you many know, yesterday we held our second PlayaCommunity cleanup, this time in Gorgona. We met some new friends, and saw some familiar faces. 14 people attended the event, coming from Coronado, Gorgona & Bejuco. We did not get the turn out we expected, however we were still able to clean up 25+ bags of trash. This is close to the same amount of garbage collected at the first event, with half the people cleaning! However, this time we found a lot more of the following: glass bottles, metal bottle caps and metal grills that had been left behind from beach bonfires. Thanks to the hard work of the community members seen here were able to rid the beach of a lot of this trash. Thank you to everyone who came out, including Sheila Scott from Spay the Strays - Panama David De Locos & Stephanie de Locos of Locos Palmar & Coronado.
