Hey Shambhala Music Festival Friends!! Ive got some daily advice for yall after being on the farm this year for only one day. Its SO good to be back and jazz but I can already tell things are a little different. 1) Its HOT. Its hotter than its ever been here. I mean Ive only been going for 5 years but its REALLY hot, 35˚ & above every day and no clouds. Theyve created a lot of nice shaded areas for us this year but youre going to be in the sun a LOT. Bring sunscreen, 60+ and theres also the water tree thats already up and running! 2) CAMPING CHANGES. If you are STAFF or VOLUNTEER, Up until 8am on Wednesday morning, you are not allowed to camp on the RIGHT side of the trail, mainly Starlight. This has caused a lot of confusion and anxiety but its easy to figure out things once you get here. It has been setup so that ticket holders actually have a chance at a good spot when they arrive. 3) Media peeps! Ive been hanging with with super girl Leah Gair, shes the only other photo peep here at the moment. Our Head homie Mitchell Scott will not be arriving until Friday evening. Up until then Britz Bitz is your main contact for any media questions you have, so find here as soon as you get here. Plus shes really awesome which makes it more awesome! 4) Bears & Cougars! So there have been a view bear sightings and a single cougar sighting. Of course as more time continues, more people will arrive and they will get more scared away but if your arriving today or tomorrow, just dont leave any food out and dispose of your garbage immediately. Not really too much else I can think of.. The Grove looks just amazing. So pumped for OPIUO on Friday night. Lots of cool new additions to all the stages this year. Im starting shooting tomorrow.
