Hey YALL! Its that time again... SCATTERTONE OF THE WEEk! This weeks SCATTERTONE OF THE WEEK is Melissa Barnum! Melissa was accepted into the group, at the beginning of her sophomore year, in 2011. Since being in the group, she has held the position of business manager (2012-13) and social media manager (2013-14). At UCLA, Melissa majored in Musical Theater, at UCLAs School of Theater, Film, and Television. During her time with the theater department, Melissa performed in such plays as Spring Awakening (Anna) and Guys and Dolls (Aunt Arvide). Over this past summer, Melissa spent most of her time working at Equinox and taking class on campus so that she could finish up her last few credits and graduate after this current fall quarter. After she graduates, Melissa hopes to live in LA, audition everywhere for potential performance jobs, and continue to work with children when she can. We asked Melissa what her favorite ScatterTones memory was and she said, my fav Scatt memory was my first time [competing] in ICCAs and our first time winning Semifinals. I have never felt so much joy and excitement and sobbed on stage. Then being able to perform [our encore] after that was insane and exciting and one of the best performances wed ever done. She is so fun and caring and we will miss her dearly when she leaves us after this quarter.
