Hey YOU! Have you ever considered getting involved with student government but never been entirely sure how? Well now is your chance! Senate will be appointing three (3) positions THIS COMING WEEK! WOW! You heard it here first! The positions appointed will be: Assistant Treasurer: The assistant treasurer (aka Baby $) is one of three students that manage the Endowment for Student Autonomy (aka your $tudent body fund$). This position involves working closely with the current Head and Vice treasurers allocating and managing funds, working with signators of student groups, and helping orchestrate Top 40. This position is a three semester commitment — first semester as assistant treasurer, second as vice treasurer, and third as head treasurer. Treasurers attend all weekly open and closed senate meetings, as well as hold weekly office hours. This position receives a monthly stipend. (due to unique circumstances, two (2) people will be appointed to this position. it will all make sense in the end) Senate Secretary: The Senate Secretary is primarily responsible for being present at all Senate meetings (twice a week) and taking minutes. In addition, the secretary will do other work asked of them by the Senate and Treasury, including updating the Senate wiki page and bulletin board. This position involves keeping confidential information. Candidates should have strong typing and organizational skills. The secretary is able, but not required, to become involved in the business of the Senate and, to an extent, act in a capacity similar to that of a senator. This is a paid position.
