Hey YOU. If you have done anything for me ever - thank you. If you have done anything for me since I have been dealing with cancer, especially, thank you. I cant stand where you do, but I realize it cant be easy. As humans we dont handle death, disease, or things that seem negative very well, and cancer often lives in all 3 categories. A nice whammy of stuff. If you dont know how to fix things, thats ok; I am not asking you to. You dont know what to say? Say, It sucks. Because, you and I both know it often does. Lets just say it like it is...please. It actually is a lot better than a forced smile and forced positivity. You being real with me is one of the best gifts you can give me. Just to be clear: when I say being real, it is in direct opposition to what I was referring to. It does not mean telling me the kinds of things you think I need to hear for my own good. I can practically guarantee you that most times someone has tried that kind of being real, it did not have the intended effect, and probably was the opposite of the desired one. Thank you for loving me. I have managed to get this far...I have to believe it has to do with you in some part. And a special SUPER DUPER thank you to those who have REALLY impacted my day-to-day life and survival. I have no idea how I can ever thank you for your generous self and kindness. And with that, a good night wish to you all.
