This is the message from their page: To All Who Know Lowell, Cate and/or George Wurster, Many of you are wondering how best to help the Wurster family get through this challenging time. I just spoke to Lowell and he wants everyone to know that he and his family are incredibly appreciative of the money that has already been raised and they continue to be humbled by the kindness bestowed upon them. The money that was previously donated has gone to good use, but the bills dont stop coming. The Wurster Family is concerned about the mounting expense of being in NYC (parking, hotels, food, etc.) for an extended period of time while George receives care awaiting his liver transplant. When George does get the transplant, the bills won’t stop. He will have to be in NYC for up to 20 days, then travel to NYC every week for at least three months. There is also the living donor to think about. The donor will be out of work for up to two months, and will need some financial assistance during that time. The last thing that the family wants is for the donor to be financially burdened while saving a life.
