Hey all. A reminder and policy update. We are not allowed to leave toys, pull rope toys or rawhide chews in the dog cages. One dog threw up a large portion of a rope toy. Soft fabric toys and raw hides are choking hazards when dogs are left unattended. Tennis balls and rubber toys also should not be left in cages. It is okay to play with the dogs with these items but do not let them go into the cage when through. Roger has also posted this info on the white board in the grooming room but please update other volunteers in the shelter if you see someone doing this, as not everyone is on Facebook or sees every post. Kongs and hard bones are still okay to leave in cages. Thanks. Angela PS but please be nice if you need to remind someone!
