Hey all! Heres the latest on Jesse Melton: He had a good nite, consistent low ICP numbers all yesterday thru now. Chest Xray looks good, DVT ultrasound no bloodclots! He is tolerating all treatments except oral care which he detests. Lunch for the family yesterday was compliments of Hal Smith/Toby Keith was delicious...and a nice break from bedside. Thank you for arranging it! The really great news: The Trauma Doctors surgically implanted a bolt into Jesses skull to hold the sensors monitoring his brain swelling, and ultimately when the swelling subsides (so that they can begin rebuilding, so to speak). Well, today that bolt was taken out!!! (I told Jeremiah that it would make an awesome necklace for Jesse...), and surgery to start healing his leg is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday the 20th). HOORAY!!! Again, the family is forever grateful for all the prayers, meals and visits! Thanks Storm Riders!!! - Bear
