Hey all, I hope everyone had a relaxing and eventful - TopicsExpress

Hey all, I hope everyone had a relaxing and eventful Christmas holiday. As the new year approach so does our first training session of 2015. I am sure many of us have a gain a few pounds during the holiday (I definitely did!). But worry not! As we have decided to step it up a notch for the coming year. As many of you have attended the sessions regularly and are familiar with the fundamentals, we have decided to increase the frequency, intensity, and difficulty of our training sessions. That being said, fundamentals will still be taught and remain in the core of our training philosophy. To assist us next year will be our president Dave and our fitness guru Jordan as well as other returning executives. Since we have extra people helping out and running the sessions, we can spend more one-on-one pad work time with each and every one of you. This will help you reach your fitness and boxing goals faster. So I STRONGLY recommend you all to take advantage of this. Unfortunately we do not have communal gloves to share with everyone. And due to hygienic reasons, I dont recommend sharing gloves. Therefore, you should all consider adding a pair of 14 oz (ounce) boxing gloves to your shopping list. Hand wraps and skipping ropes are also recommended for your protection and so you can participate in our warm ups, respectively. If you are just starting out, a normal pair of 14 oz boxing gloves from sports chek or other sporting goods retail outlet would be suffice. You do not have to spend $100+ on a pair of boxing gloves. We can only do pad work with you if you have your OWN gloves. If not then you will be restricted to warm-up, shadow boxing, and certain drills. We will be having 3 training session/ week and will try to focus on a different aspect of boxing on each day. Our sessions will be in the SUB (student union building). The times and room numbers are listed below. Mondays 5-7pm Rm 205 Wednesdays 4-6pm Ballroom Extension Thursdays 10am-12pm Partyroom Have a great rest of the holiday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope to see you all January 5, 2015 !!
