Hey all, I just composed another letter to Disney and shipped it off just now to Guest Communications and all of the upper management we have e mail addresses for. Let me know what you think: Good morning, Id like to start out with a quote that is often said and attributed to any number of authors He who hesitates is lost Many people have this quote attributed to them, and though it may be in reference to any number of situations, the one I am referring to is the removal of Off Kilter. It has been a little over two months now since the sad news of the termination of this band was announced. In a very short period of time from this announcement, Off Kilter was advised they would be brought back in a limited format for the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs show. That is wonderful and a great way to have these super talented musicians back on the Mill Stage sharing their talent and enthusiasm to add to a joyous holiday season for all of the EPCOT guests. It was also a great way to keep a wonderful group of guys from having to go their own separate ways to find work, at least temporarily. I do look forward to seeing them on my next trip which will be at the beginning of December. Unfortunately as we all know in todays economy, if you are laid off from your place of employment, most people cannot afford to not be working. With homes and families to support, most people cannot be out of a steady job for any length of time. I am sure that this is also true of the gentlemen from Off Kilter as well. I am certain, that is if they have not already, they will be shortly looking for other employment. This could be in the musical field or perhaps another line of work altogether. Once that happens, getting the band back together in its current format would be difficult, if not impossible. I realize that while each individual musician within the band has replacements for cases of vacation or illness, the overall flavor of the band is directly attributed to the five regular members of the band. They all contribute something special to the band through warmth, humor, charm, and of course talent, that will not be able to be matched by a hodgepodge of other musicians. I am sure that the idea of bringing back Off Kilter is being discussed and looked at. I ask that you consider the time frame and the problems inherent with getting a group of people back together, once they have gone down other roads. Please bring back Off Kilter, in its current format. There is not a lot of time for consideration here and waiting at this point could remove any options that may be getting looked at or considered by management.
