Hey all. Ive been using the stand alone facebook messenger app for over a year. Its not evil or going to take over your phone and turn it into a turreted death machine. Your mileage may of course vary, but that HuffingPo article that keeps getting posted about how awful all of this is is 18 months old and more than a bit... well screamy.
