Hey all. We have now just got 10 days to go until the starting gates drop for the 2013 Motorex North Island Junior Motocross Championships and we see who is the North Island’s best junior rider in the categories that are on offer. Thanks to all those that have entered. We will publish the entry list on the web site mxjuniors.co.nz this weekend. Late fees apply from this Saturday – we have priced this event low enough so as to make it attractive for people to enter but the late fees do apply for those entering after Friday so get them in ahead of time. The programme goes to print early next week so if you are racing, and want to get your sponsors the coverage that they deserve, enter now. For those not racing, if you can help out over the weekend please let me know. I have had offers of help from people who are keen to flag marshal. The aim is to have enough so that everyone does a little bit and no-one needs to do a whole day. The rest of the event is pretty much all organised. Volunteers is what we need. Mums and Dads – if you have kids that are keen to watch and you can spare an hour or two to help out that would be awesome. Our two boys are looking forward to seeing how the big kids race the track and many of the Juniors will be keen to show the mini kids what it takes to prepare and race in an event of this nature. We have working bee this Saturday from 10am to do the final tidy up of the track and the surrounding environment (sort out parking plans, pit area, grid area, locate flag marshal boxes, shift long drops). All minor stuff that can be done without machinery but needs labour. If you can help on the day please let me know. It would be great to have you there.Cheers, Shane.
