Hey all you reminisers, I have a serious question. When did AEHS start to be integrated? I know in 1967, there were no Hispanic kids, one Black guy (Michael Lynch - they put him on the basketball team even though he wasnt very good), one Asian girl (Becky Minton, gorgeous, brilliant, and half-Hawaiian), and all the rest White. (Even though there was a big Black ghetto a couple miles from the school called Kengar.) Now I see AEHS has a Latin Dance Team that won first in county last year. So, when did the student body start to show a little diversity? For that matter, when did the faculty? Did anybody have a Black, Asian, or Hispanic teacher? If so, what year?
