Hey citizens! Another job for us to do while we wait for our schools to re-open. Next week in Whistler, the Union of BC Municipalities is holding their annual conference. Mayors and councillors from all over BC will be there. One thing they will learn about, without even knowing it perhaps, is a big part of the plan to dismantle our current education system. The BC Blueprint will be unveiled to them. IMHO, we need to contact our local Councils before they go to the conference to alert them to not be sucked in by the smiley faces and perky double-talk that is sure to be the workshop facilitators approach. Hey, kids, want to drink some kool aid? It wont hurt you! If we dont educate these mayors and councillors too, they may be another group supporting the proposed changes without understanding what they are supporting.
