Hey class :) Sorry for the late as follow-up post! Been a bit hectic but Ive finally found some time to post. If you were in class on Wednesday, then you will remember what we covered. We talked about priestcraft, about resisting wickedness and about dress and appearance. I hope you have made an effort or plan to act on whatever prompting you received from the real Teacher - the Spirit! :) Dont forget the invitations - to eliminate priescraft from your life in whatever shape or form, to enrol to vote, do your research on political parties and to actually be bothered to vote. As we established on Wednesday and a couple weeks back - it is not enough to be good - we have to be good for something, we have to contribute good to the world! So make a difference. Be like the Nephites who voted against Amlici and made their voices heard, act to protect our communities. Dont misunderstand what I am saying - I am not trying to persuade or dissuade you from voting for or against a party. What I am saying is that we have to resist wickedness and one way we can do that is by voting to protect ourselves and our communities against the onslaught of the enemy! ACT! Have courage to stand for truth and righteousness at all times in all places! :) Consider the discussion we had in class about dress and appearance. I think Jay Kaufusi said it perfectly - its all in your countenance. Consider what that means and what you can do to reflect the Saviour in your countenance. If you saw the homework, you will know that this weeks homework is to prayerfully study chapters 5-7 of Alma and also chapter 24 in the student Manual. Included in that is an invitation to study the questions in chapter 5 and to post up an answer to one of those questions. I invite you to do so - I will ensure I post up at least one answer myself! :) Well class, thats us for this week - invite your mate who hasnt been to class in a while or bring yourself to class next week - we will be there, same time, same place!
