Hey downtown residents and employees: the city-owned parking garages (Market Square, Locust St, State St) will limit parking tonight through tomorrow morning in order to maintain enough parking for the monthly parkers. With the American Idol auditions being held Friday morning, there is a concern that many attendees will camp overnight or arrive early and utilize all the parking garages, so the gates entering the garages will remain down tonight and signed for ‘monthly parkers only.’ People who are coming down to audition or view the auditions are being directed to park at the Civic Coliseum and utilize the free trolley. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
