Hey everybody. Its with sadness that I announce Neil Acharya is no longer in Howth. I dont really know how honest I can be about the situation here because Im having difficulty even being honest with myself about it. We had a good thing going. A series of changes and my inability to handle them resulted in the band going from a five piece to just me and Jeremy. Howth made a great album mainly because the people involved were so great. I dont want to cheapen that by rushing to make Howth into something else. With that said, Im gonna take a break from figuring out what to do with Howth and our album and focus on playing solo shows and occasional shows with my other band Trivial Pursuit - Band Edition. I recorded some vocals on two demos for that the other day and it sounds really cool. Jeremy from Howth will be taking over my drumming duties. Super psyched to keep working with him. Despite the heartache surrounding Howth at the moment, Im really excited about trying out this new direction and moving forward with music in whatever capacity. Im also excited to go back to playing solo because I havent done that in a while and its reminding me how much I love connecting with people through music on a personal level. Heres Howth at its prime, in my opinion. I truly loved working with these guys and Im glad we have things like this and our album to remind us of the good times we spent making music together.
