Hey everybody! My names Ryan and I just arrived into the Yamaguchi prefecture! Im currently on a mission spending the next 6 months walking the entire length of Japan from Cape Sata in Kagoshima to Cape Soya in Hokkaido! Im doing this for my charity, The Walk from Obesity, because I used to be quite overweight myself and am looking to inspire others in the fight against obesity. Starting in Kagoshima, I met an AJET named Adam Carter who hosted me in his home for 2 days and we became really great friends. From there I started making connections with all of the AJETs in the Kagoshima, Miyazaki, Oita, and Fukuoka prefectures and now Im happy to say I have many new friendships! Like I said I just arrived in Yamaguchi and am quite possibly looking for some home stays if anybody is interested in putting a roof over my head. Anything is better than pitching my tent and Ive had nothing but great experiences so far with my new JET friends! If anybody is interested in hosting me, I would love to contact you and set something up! Im currently in Kitakyuchu right now but I will be in Shimonoseki tomorrow night with the plan of pitching my tent if I cant find anybody.
