Hey everybody! Since nobody likes filling out lengthy applications for hackathons (all of which seem to be the same/similar anyway), I wanted to create a Common App for hackathons. Ive reserved commonhack.org, and have begun specing out a JSON standard for hackers. I want to have an API to hacker information so each hackathon can use whatever registration system they want. On the hacker side, youd get to edit your information in a beautiful inspired-by-Medium UI. Youll get a public-facing profile page at commonhack.org/ For hackathons, just ask for a hackers commonhack username. You can make a simple GET request and get that hackers information via JSON. You can also ask for any hackathon-specific details too, if you choose. What I need from you guys is some help writing the spec!
