Hey everybody! Well the time is getting closer where I am finally going to be collecting my pride and joy to-be! Can not wait! So exciting and nervous too (feels like a first date) as I am really jumping into the deep end, having never owned an armoured vehicle before :-) Ive been reading up on my manual and there are a few questions, which I need to ask you fellas if possible? PS. PICTURES TO ASSIST ME WOULD BE FANTASTIC! 1) Towing the vehicle - It is to be transported a considerable distance. I cant find the page in the manual but I recall reading somewhere that when pulling the ferret onto a transporter, using a winch, and the engine off, its not enough to simply have the gearbox in the neutral position. There is a second way to neutralise the transmission. Something along the lines of if you dont neutralise the system completely, the parts will be moving without the assistance and protection of hydraulic oil and may cause damage... How do I neutralise the gearbox? 2) the manual states, when moving off, select the appropriate gear in the transfer box AND second gear in the gearbox.... -How do I select the gear in transfer box? -How often is this required? -When do I deselect it, once again? -Is it only after towing??? This has me really confused. I thought it was just the gear selector and your good to go. 3) vehicle restraint/ lashing points. Could I please get a few photos of where these 8 points are located please? Thank you all very much, in advance, for your time. I look forward to your responses.
