Look him/her up, find a few nice examples of their work, and share them. Maybe youll discover a new favorite? Be as wordy (or not) as you like. And if you have a preference of media, leave it in a comment :) I got Stanley Kubrick, one of my absolute favorite photographers and filmmakers. He first blew my mind when I saw Dr Strangelove, and then again with 2001. I dont think he made a bad film after Lolita. I love his work because he started out as a photographer, and so as he became a film director, he brought all of that expertise with him, and proceeded to compose his shots and scenes like few others had before. Recommended viewing: 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and for the bold and/or daring, Eyes Wide Shut.
