Hey everyone - todays my birthday! My Mom posted a nice memorable greeting on my personal timeline this morning, about my birth (back in 1969) and I thought you might like this small Back in the Awesome Days - ish part of it. Oddly, I dont remember any of this - but I can certainly picture it. Enjoy... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In those days, new mothers and babies spent about 5 days in the hospital, and so for five days we were tucked away in the maternity ward at the hospital with no view of the outside but for a brick wall. We brought you home on a very sunny spring day, and I remember the joy and hope I felt in my heart as I held you in my arms on that car ride (infant car seats were not required back then) . . how well I remember our days together, just you and me, while daddy went off to work … We sat in the rocker and I sang to you and we listened to Henry Mancini and Percy Faith albums.
